The Piedmont Choral Society is an auditioned chorus that welcomes singers from all walks of life. Many of our members hold professional positions as directors or members of other musical groups and church choirs — but we also welcome passionate vocalists who simply love to sing.
Our season runs from September through June, with regular Monday evening rehearsals. Members are expected to attend rehearsals consistently and participate in our full concert season.
How Auditions Work
Contact the membership director at membership@piedmontchoralsociety.org to schedule your audition. We look for singers who can read music, match pitch, and blend well within an ensemble setting.
What We Look For
Musical literacy, good vocal production, the ability to blend with a section, and a commitment to rehearsal attendance and concert participation.
The Season
September through June, featuring four major concert series: Old Fashioned Hymn Sing (October), Christmas Concert (December), Spring Masterworks (April/May), and Patriotic Benefit Concert (June).

NO AUDITION REQUIRED
NO AUDITION REQUIRED
Each June, we open our doors to all singers for the Community Patriotic Concert Series. No audition is necessary — just a love of music and country. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience singing with a large chorus, even if you've never been part of one.
Community members are encouraged to join the choir with no audition and at no cost for this three-concert series. Proceeds from one of the concerts are given to a chosen local nonprofit organization.
Over the past decade, these benefit concerts have raised more than $30,000 for local nonprofits throughout Cabarrus County.
